I have always had an interest in technology. I am currently still fortunate enough to work in the offshore industry. The industry as a whole is in very difficult time due to the recent crash in the oil price. This has and still does affect many people all over the world with pay offs and massive pay cuts, some as large as 60%. So I decided to diversify to find another source of income which had the potential to turn into a full time business. Having a great interest in technology and flying drones, UAV or SUSA (As I have learnt they go by various names). I did some research to find the drone industry is a rapidly growing market and thought a commercial drone business sounds like a good idea.
Now I had two options that I thought I could combine together. The first option is primarily an offline business, yes it has a website Facebook page and all the other social media things you can think about but this would be the drone service going to locations and flying the drone to capture whatever the client required. The second part is an online business this is something I have also never attempted before. The reason I thought about an online business to help supplement my commercial drone business was because as I still predominantly work in the offshore industry I work away from home a lot for 30 day periods. Having access to a computer and writing about things I found a great way to pass the time.
It is all something very new and daunting to me, but the world and internet has many potential clients and so many things to offer it was time to get started
