On this very beautiful occasion I would like to share about the customs of the Acehnese when they want to accompany the groom.
a bunch of betel from the village head
As we know that the existing customs in Aceh are still very strong with the inheritance from the ancestors and the ancestors of their time. It is okay to maintain these customs as long as they do not oppose the teachings of Islam. If the customs that are maintained are contrary to the teachings of our Islamic religion, then it is tantamount to inviting God's reinforcements or punishment to us.
Now I will explain one by one. The first is the betel from the regional head. In some areas of Aceh, this betel is one of the requirements for the groom to enter to meet the bride. But not surprisingly, there are also areas that do not have a problem with this village head betel.
Delivery for the bride 1
Next is the first delivery from the groom to the bride. In this delivery, a complete set of clothes (from head to toe), prayer equipment, sandals, cosmetics and some special fabrics for the bride will be brought. In this delivery, the minimum habit is 5 sets of clothes if the highest is over 10 sets. And the quality of the delivery also depends on the situation and condition of the groom.
For now, this delivery was wrapped in a pretty basket like it wasn't like it used to be. In the past, delivery and special cakes were included in the same type of basket. Behind the beauty of the basket that is used now is that it can be used to put baby clothes someday.
Delivery for the bride 2
This is the appearance of the delivery car for the bride. Among them the most prominent is sugar cane, until now I still do not understand the origin of carrying sugar cane when escorting the groom. And I will try to research it.
Inside this car is filled with typical Acehnese cakes. One of them is like lunkhead and even more that the cake weighs about 5 kg. Not only the typical heavy cakes, the light ones are there too. In addition to the typical cake, this car is also equipped with a small traditional aceh house which is filled with 2 dozen fanta water/sprits, a few grams of sugar, milk and several cans of bread.
Betel for the bride of the husband
And this is a special betel from the groom to his wife. The betel is very beautifully decorated and tall. Behind this beautiful betel shape, there are great women's hands that are sore in shaping it. All of this is not an easy thing for non-experts, but for experts this is only a small matter.
Likewise with the principle of life We will look ordinary in the eyes of people who don't know us, but we can look extraordinary in the eyes of people who already know us. So just enjoy it, because it is a trinket of life so that life is more colorful.

And the last delivery is young coconut. From this young coconut we can take i'tibar, I hope that as many people like young coconuts, so do our lives. We've tried to be like young coconuts but there are also those who don't like it. It's not a problem, our job is to give the best. If they can't respond well, it's their pleasure. Therefore, don't worry too much about what people say. It's not important because in front of us there are many more important things that must be resolved.
