Today we bring you a new repair, in this case, the screen replacement of a Samsung Galaxy A22 5G mobile phone, model SM-A226B. The customer dropped it and the LCD was completely cracked.
In this case, we will not carry out a review and diagnosis, since the problem is clear: the phone turns on and displays an image, but with colored stripes that change in tone, clearly showing the damage to the display. Therefore, the LCD circuit is working.
I would like to explain that several repairs are carried out in our workshop every day, both software and hardware repairs. From these, we choose the one we will present to you and prepare the post as well as possible with the resources we have available.
For those who follow me, we will soon be starting a new project on irrigation systems for the livestock sector, which has nothing to do with phones, but well, it is my other profession, Hydraulic Engineering, which I have been practicing for 22 years, while I recently completed 7 years working in mobile phone repairs.
Let's begin.
REPAIR
1-Once the problem is clear, we will first proceed to remove the damaged screen from our Samsung. To do this, we open the device, disconnect the display flex cable, and also disconnect the battery.
2-Now we are going to remove the broken screen. Since we noticed that it is somewhat loose, we will not apply heat. We insert a small scalpel into the edge of the upper-right corner, make a small lever toward us, insert a small piece of X-ray film, and then slide it along the entire edge. It was quite quick; apparently, in addition to breaking from the impact, the screen became loose from the frame. This is how we have removed the broken LCD. Sometimes, it is necessary to apply heat and even add isopropyl alcohol to loosen it, since it may be strongly adhered.
3-Well, now, as the second step before installing the new display, we are going to carefully clean the frame where the new replacement part will be placed. When removing a screen, there are always remnants of the old adhesive, and even pieces of glass, as in our case, since the display was broken. Everything must be as clean as possible for good contact and adhesive efficiency.
4-We will install the new display, place it on the frame, connect the flex cable, turn on the device, and begin testing the different elements: brightness, touch, and response to the power button. We will use it for about 15 to 20 minutes for safety. On Samsung phones, there is a way to check the touch screen, in addition to other tests, through the diagnostic menu by entering the code #0#, but, well, this is only for this brand of mobile phones and for all of its models.
5-We have already checked that everything works 100%, so we will install our replacement part. We disconnect it, remove it, disconnect the battery, and proceed to carefully apply adhesive all around the edge of the frame. We are applying black T-7000 adhesive, which is specifically designed for displays. In the event of any small deformation of the frame, this type of adhesive helps prevent light leakage. We will take special care in the upper part where the sensors are located; we will not apply adhesive there. Once finished, we will place our display and reconnect its flex cable and battery. We will secure our screen with rubber bands. There are other ways to secure them, such as clips and holders, but we have always used rubber bands and they have given us good results.
6-After about two hours of resting with the rubber bands in place, we remove them and completely assemble the device, and it is ready to be delivered to the customer.

Hoy les traemos una nueva reparación, en este caso el cambio de pantalla de un móvil Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, modelo SM-A226B. A la cliente se le cayó y se le quebró completamente el LCD.
En este caso, no haremos revisión y diagnóstico, pues el problema está claro: el móvil enciende y se ve, pero con franjas de colores que cambian de tonalidad, evidenciando claramente el daño del display. Así que el circuito del LCD, sí está trabajando.
Quiero explicarles que en el día se hacen varias reparaciones en nuestro taller, tanto de software como hardware; de ellas escogemos la que les presentaremos y elaboramos así el post lo mejor posible y con los recursos con que contamos.
Para los que me siguen, pronto estaremos comenzando ya un nuevo proyecto sobre sistemas de riego para el sector ganadero, nada que ver con los teléfonos, pero bueno, es mi otro oficio, la Ingeniería Hidráulica desde hace 22 años, mientras en las reparaciones de móviles, recientemente he cumplido 7 años.

REPARACIÓN
1-Estando claro el problema, vamos a proceder en primer lugar a retirar la pantalla de nuestro Samsung dañada. Para esto, destapamos el equipo, desconectamos el flex del display y desconectamos además la batería.
2-Ahora vamos a quitar la pantalla rota. Como notamos que está algo floja, no daremos calor, introducimos un pequeño bisturí en el borde de la esquina superior derecha, hacemos una pequeña palanca hacia nosotros, introducimos una pequeña placa de radiografía y vamos deslizándola entonces por todo el borde. Fue bastante rápido, la pantalla al parecer con el golpe, además de quebrarse, se aflojó del marco. Así ya hemos retirado el LCD roto. En ocasiones, sí hay que dar calor, incluso añadir alcohol isopropílico para safarla, pues está fuertemente adherida.
3-Bien, ahora, como segundo paso antes de colocar el nuevo display, vamos a limpiar cuidadosamente el marco donde se apoyará el nuevo repuesto. Siempre, al quitar una pantalla, quedan restos del pegamento antiguo, incluso restos de vidrios, como en nuestro caso, que el display estaba quebrado. Debe estar todo lo más limpio posible para un buen contacto y eficiencia del pegamento.
4-Colocaremos el nuevo display, lo apoyaremos al marco, conectaremos el flex, encenderemos el equipo y empezaremos a probar los elementos: brillo, táctil, respuesta al botón de power. Lo usaremos unos 15 a 20 minutos para seguridad. En los teléfonos Samsung, hay una forma específica de comprobar el touch o táctil, además de otras comprobaciones: mediante el menú de diagnóstico, tecleando el código #0#, pero, bien, esto es solo para esta marca de móviles y para todos sus modelos.
5-Ya hemos comprobado que todo funciona al 100, así que montaremos nuestro repuesto, lo desconectamos, retiramos, desconectamos batería y procedemos a aplicar pegamento cuidadosamente por todo el borde del marco. Estamos aplicando pegamento T-7000 Negro, que es especialmente para display; cualquier pequeña deformación del marco, este tipo de adhesivo limita el escape de luz. Tendremos especial cuidado en la parte superior, donde van los sensores; ahí no aplicaremos pegamento. Terminado, colocaremos nuestro display y conectaremos nuevamente su flex y batería. Fijaremos nuestra pantalla con ligas. Existen otras formas de fijarlas: con presillas y fijadores, pero siempre hemos usado las ligas y nos han dado buen resultado.
6-Después de unas dos horas de reposo con las ligas puestas, las retiramos y armamos completamente el equipo y listo para entregar al cliente.
