INTRO

Good day to all! We are here again for another week of our battle mage secrets. Our discussion today will be about one of the mage secrets called "Broken Arrow". The image of this rule is illustrated below. Broken Arrow is a rule that does not allow ranged monsters in battle. This rule also applies to monsters with 2 attack that have ranged damage.

Here are some monsters that have two attacks and that I own: Tatiana Blayde can attack both melee and ranged, while Runemancer Florre can attack both magic and ranged.

BATTLE WITH "BROKEN ARROW"

This week I'm sharing one of my battle with broken arrow rule. My battle is a one rule battle and it is only "broken arrow" with a mana requirement of 12. Element allowed for this battle are water and neutral. To see my full battle here is the link.

My Approach...

Melee and magic monsters are the only options for our battle lineup. Since this is a low mana battle with only 12 allowed, we have to choose monsters with high health that can counter both magic and melee attacks. Selecting a summoner that can provide an advantage for both magic and melee attacks could be beneficial for this rule, but since only one element is allowed, we have to carefully consider and use the most potential monster for this battle.

My Battle line up...

Below is the screenshot of my battle for round 1. We can see here that both summoner was use and what differ are the monster used.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

Below are the possible reason for my win in this battle.

  1. "Chaos Agent made an impressive stand here. I think this monster is the best counter for melee and magic damage in this situation. The reason is that it has the dodge ability, which gives a higher chance for enemies to miss their attacks and backfire damage. It also has the phase ability to counter magic damage, but unfortunately, the enemy did not use magic attack types. The use of Cruel Sethropod was also good as it provided a good tank with 7 health and 6 armor. The only disadvantage of these monsters is their low speed, which can trigger the ability of Chaos Agent."

  2. "Pelacor Bandit was in my second position. It has no reach ability but can attack at the rear of the enemy. My best reason for using Pelacor Bandit in the second position is that if Chaos Agent dies, I have a monster with a high chance of missing melee attacks. This played well due to a lot of misses from my enemy and no magic attack types used by my enemy."

  3. "My killer here is Uraeus for his poison ability. I positioned him in the middle and was protected by Torrent Fiend and Hardy Stonefish if the enemy used monsters with sneak ability. Cruel Sethropod and Keep Initiate were tough tanks and support, but my team managed to take them down."

I hope you enjoy my battle with "broken arrow" rule. If interested to play splinterlands here is my referral link.

All I can say is that we should keep playing, collecting cards, and enjoying the game. With patience, we will soon have some big fish to catch! Speaking of nature, I'm grateful to work at a hydropower plant surrounded by such beauty.
