This week, we will be discussing one of the mage secrets in battle, which is "Armored Up". This ability provides +2 armor to all monsters, which is a disadvantage for melee and ranged monsters. The trick here is that once we have this type of ability, we tend to pick magic attack monsters since this type of attack directly damages the health. This line of thinking would be common, and naturally, your enemy will think of ways to counter magic attack monsters and summoners.

To demonstrate how this armored up ability works, we will see one of my battle. See the link for the full video.

BATTLE RULE...
The maximum mana required for my shared battle is 46. It is a 2 battle rule which is armored up and even stevens. Even stevens is a rule that only even mana monsters will be use. The elements available for the battle were earth, life, death, dragon and neutral.

SUMMONER SELECTION...
Normally selecting summoner depends on the available cards or deck for every player. Some are renting and only have few different deck for battle. I decided to use Lily Shieldpaw because of the +1 health, camouflaged and triage ability. My focus here is the +1 health as a possibility that my enemy will really focus on magic attack. Another reason is I'm confident with my dragon deck馃榾. My enemy pick Grandmaster Rathe as this will very tough given that this is a armored up rule. Grandmaster Rathe provides +1 armor, void armor and amplify ability. Void armor is an anti magic ability which will let magic attack to damage first armor before health. Another ability is the amplify if monsters with reflect magic is use it will be a disadvantage on my part.

To be honest, I really thought that I would lose this battle. My enemy had taken advantage of the armored-up rule, and the summoner he picked was anti-magic. However, what made me win this battle was my better combination馃榾. The Pelacor Conjurer made a lot of contributions here, as my enemy took a lot of attempts to bring him down. Pelacor Conjurer is one of my favorites, as it has the fly ability, which is nice to put in the first position, and of course, its other abilities like magic reflect, phase, and divine shield. Another reason for bringing the Pelacor Conjurer effectively is the blind ability, which gives a higher chance of missing. Another advantage of my setup is the blast ability. I have two monsters with this kind of ability for my setup. Lastly, my second position monster had an ability of knock-out that made my enemy in the first position immobilized. Having immobilization for one round is an advantage on my part since his monster in the first position cannot attack and will not inflict damage to my lineup.

In conclusion, what is very important in this game is to anticipate the possible line from your opponent. The only limitation here is the availability of cards in your deck.
