My post was strictly about separating DHF and reward pool mechanics, not making a funding policy recommendation.
The comment discussion is about what should be done with that structure, which is a separate layer. The goal was to make those distinctions clear so that any proceedings to "what should be done" actually have a solid foundation rather than assumptions.
Personally, I lean toward frontend development funding being more directly tied to usage (for example via transparent beneficiary cuts), rather than relying mainly on discretionary treasury allocation or indirect reward-market outcomes.
