Star fruit (also known as namabelimbing wuluh, belimbing reed, belimbing bottle, starfruit, or starfruit) is a small tree species thought to originate from the Maluku Islands, and is bred and grows freely in Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Malaysia. This plant is usually planted in the yard to take the fruit that has a sour taste that is often used as a spice cooking and mixture of herbs.
