It's great @tommyrobinson is putting his stuff up on the chain... I would never say I'm politically aligned with him across the board but there are some things that he has been subjected to that have made me feel a powerful amount of sympathy for the man. Above all the sheer horror of his child being assaulted and in his actions to hold the party accountable he finds himself being subjected the very justice system that he should look to for help. But after many years of working around, and having many friends in law enforcement I have to say that he shouldn't be surprised at his treatment.

When I lived and worked in Kent there was an affluent little country pub I used to visit. It was proud of it's quintessential image, it's owner had a disabled kid who he proudly used as a figure head for fund raisers, the London toft population who had their second homes nearby were always good for the lock in, and it was a gathering place for those in public service who held admin positions and had the right background. Among these a few senior Kent constabulary employees. Two retired one active come to mind in particular. On weekends most who had time off would drink and have family meals there. A lot of our local constabulary were familiar with this pub as patrons.

At this pub I had my first true glimpse of the conduct of people who in the community we are supposed to have great faith in. There was a regular who owned a home in the village who frequently worked in Asia and back and forthed from the UK. He had a liking (worrisome liking) for younger girls. One evening at a lock in he was sharing a video around with a small group (among their number retired and active law enforcement) that was for lack of a better word disgusting. It was definitely illegal. But who could I report it to? The IPCC? (still a thing at the time)
It would have fell flat and gone nowhere. Further more these people all were perceived as saintly in the community. I just distanced after that evening and lost a lot of sleep afterwards. It was deeply disturbing. I knew for a fact some of these men had kids.

It was a realisation that when we encounter these things in our society we have to turn to a sicker vector than the already sick one we want to address the problem.. It is the same with our "mainstream" press. Especially the BBC. A prerequisite seems to be the ability to rationalise and justify ones actions to a criminal level through a faux altruistic filter.

I have worked with the sick, victims, homeless, alcoholics, addicts, sex offenders, violent offenders... In two countries. I have seen the manufacturing of delusional justification to commit an offence against others more times than I'd like. The manufacture of criminal justification is again something that is widely pushed across our institutions and media. This is why we are seeing this ubiquitous schizophrenia. There seems to be a concerted effort to create a society without sin by changing the definitions of what sin is. I don't mean "sin" in a strictly religious sense, more a common decency sense. I.e injustice is a sin.. make the definition of injustice malleable by definition and anything can be made permissible or not permissible.

I apologise for the long ass comment. Everything I'm sharing here is anecdotal. It's been so many years since the things I've shared in this comment have occurred that it's beyond proving. At the time of occurence it wouldn't have been and it's certainly not now sadly. But it's because of the anecdotal I do feel for @tommyrobinson, though I'm not completely aligned on some topics he's voiced opinions on in the past. Sadly, I won't be surprised to hear that the offender who assaulted his child will probably only get a suspended sentence IF convicted. When @tommyrobinnson was arrested outside the Canterbury crown court the very judge pointing at him in the window was a well known weirdo among the sex workers of the area years ago. The very esteemed magistrate used to drink down at the Millers Arms in Canterbury and once every two weeks would meet his escorts there. A lot of them were terrified of the old guy. ... I don't know if all of the people in our justice system here are that weird, but it's been my experience from a societal aspect that these people do well in their professions and heavily populate our justice system. It's this contaminated system @tommyrobinnson has to turn to for justice to be done for the benefit of his child. I fear it won't be.

If justice isn't done for assault on a child then I truly hope he raises a racket. I hope more work is done so those we have been taught we are opposed to can see the vast swath of common ground we share on left and right so justice in these types of matters isn't influenced by a persons/peoples partisan biased. In short I hope the pressure guys like Tommy are undergoing and voices like his on the either side of the aisle (there are btw... they just need to pull up their britches and instigate dialogue) begets growth. I know this is naive. But there's no harm in hoping. Thanks for the post Tommy.
