We took a look at 3 different pairs of shoes. Boa laces and straps. We do prefer the boa shoes because they look cool and tighten to your foot in a nice way. The boa does unfortunately snap sometimes and can be an issue to get replacement ones. But on the website you can order them for free. even free shipping.
