Many won't do this because of the personal gain. But after reading a post of over 1000 words about jerrybanfield, I decided that this has to be written.
Steemchurch is the major community that has made my journey on steemit worthwhile and for this I am grateful. But I'm afraid not many people has this to say for themselves....... The truth is, sirknight (steemchurch founder and leader) is trying his best and from what I've observed so far, he's actually and truly selfless.......
Steemchurch is a community and a fast growing one. Many people have been on this community for long and many more are joining daily but a lot of them turn tail and run because they do not get anything worthwhile. They spend a lot of time writing articles on a daily basis only for them to receive nothing. And even when they get one lucky resteem, they don't see another till the next month. This is actually discouraging.
Quite a number of people on the discord channel have send me private messages asking if there's a format for getting resteemed.
Well, i dont know. You just have to get lucky I guess......
I've actually checked (scanned through and thoroughly) a long list of people writing articles using steemchurch tag and I've noticed only 20% (based on intuition) always get lucky.
The way I see it, it's beginning to look like a "THE RICH GETTING RICHER AND THE POOR GETTING POORER" situation.
Now don't get me wrong, to an extent, I've been among the lucky few.
I've had my sunny and stormy days too.... But this doesn't mean I can't express my feeling - a sad one.
I wish something can be done to salvage this situation because I also want the growth of steemchurch. Now, in my early steemit days, sirknight created a post on parishioners creating new accounts for loved ones (friends and family) - I believe he also mentioned creating one for the esteemed ladyknight. I can't create an account for anyone due to fear of some surrounding factors. I can't even introduce them to steemit. If i do, they're stranded because I have very little voting power and I can't help them. Their good content also can't be seen because people just upvote bad content using bidbots. This is actually annoying and discouraging.
How do I tell someone about steemchurch when I can't guarantee their good articles earning anything above $0.00 sbd??
