Today Gertie and Rosie graduated from their Basic Obedience class. 
A coworker recommended a local trainer and we signed up for a 6 week course. Each Saturday we drive to her place for our hour-long class. We are given homework every week and we both practice with the dogs a few times a day, for about 5-10 minutes at a time.
We still have a ways to go with some things, but both girls seem so much more confident with their new skills. It was such a great bonding experience for us.
I love that they got a little graduation cap to wear! Our little one, Gertie, loves getting dressed up, but Rosie doesn't seem to enjoy it at all.
