The kiddo is attending jujitsu class because his mama wants him to learn some skills instead of just watching tv or playing games on his iPad.
I thought that it would be just a passing fancy and he would hang up his jujitsu gear after a while. He has stopped basketball and soccer lessons and no amount of persuasion or encouragement could convince him to reconsider staying on.
The kiddo is happy with this new sport and even practises his moves with his daddy at home. I believe his interest has stayed spot on because he has an instructor who is patient and has good coaching skills. Kids often look up to their teacher/trainer and tend to listen to them more than they would their parents.
Perhaps jujitsu is less intense than basketball and soccer because there Is less running about here and there.
