Friends, today I am going to tell you a story. I heard it from one of my friends who lives in the USA. Shamim and Shahin are two brothers who live in California. They are are hard working people and also frugal. The are living California for long time and got green card. As they are hardworking and frugal, they saved enough money to buy a house. They looked for few days and got a suitable house to buy. They bought the house. Before taking position the authority of that area check some thing that is, is the house is quite safe for living or not? An official came to visit the house and found that the house has some problems. He told the two brothers that they will not get permission to live in the house because there were some fault in the house. The two brothers tried to convince him saying that it was not a problem for them. But the official didn't pay heed to them. At last the two brothers offered two hundred dollars to the officer. At once he called the police and handed them to the police. They were sent to the court. At last they were released. They said that they didn't know the rules of the country and also paid penalty.
If it happened to my country, what would happen? The official was not a Muslim but his values and justice is praise worthy.
We are the people of Bangladesh, most of us are Muslims, but what about our values, morality and other qualities. We became independent in 1971. It's a long time to develop a country. But what happens. Every where there is corruption. Everyday media publishes lots of news about it. But no change.
I think the authority should change the law and it should be enforced strictly. Not only that there should be a revolution for changing our mentality.
