Advertisers don't really care about people's expectations. There's plenty of ads I run into everyday on different platforms that I dislike. But money talks. It's the same with the trending tab here. If you want trending posts that trend because of reasons other than its authors paying for it to trend, you can check out platforms like facebook or twitter but even they don't let things they don't like trend and their reasons always goes back to money. If they feel like your post threatens their space, they ban you or shadow ban you. If you want real and authentic information, you need to dig deeper than the trending tabs of any social media.
