LOL I guess we have to agree to disagree. Problem with your analogy is that in your analogy you're the only user of the shares whereas with something like bitcoin, there's plenty of users so if the attacker takes yours, he can sell them to others. And if the attacker could exploit the core and take everyone's coins, he probably wouldn't take everyone's coins at once as that would be extremely dumb. He would most likely take the coins as slow as possible such that no one would notice while he liquidates them to something else.
