I think they're highly underrated.

YES! They're slow (and pricey - mana cost wise), but in high-mana cap games (especially in the lower leagues), there's almost nothing you can put on the tail that survives their onslaught. ... 2 or 3 rounds of that and your enemy will think he's been transported to Arrakis :-)
