How should AI overcome scarcity?

There isn't much scarcity, most of the scarcity we perceive is artificial.

Only truly scarce thing we have, you might say, is land.

AI can help us use land more efficiently, help with coming up with new materials that would improve energy efficiency of solar panels etc, come up with more efficient algorithms. (Which they already do, Google's AI saved Google millions of dollars by improving the efficiency of their datacenters.)
