Bellamy's work is a utopia, just viewed from a different lens compared to more philosophical ones.

Thomas More's Utopia is the viewing of such a society from the philosophical lens, and its deconstruction is Auxley's Brave New World. It is same conditions ending up in a dystopia.

And I am pretty sure we can come up with a deconstruction of Bellamy's utopia, and maybe someone already has. I would have to look that up. This is not an attack on Bellamy's work, it does really illustrate what you say. What I am getting at is that, even if we manage it as Bellamy's work outlines. We can end up in vastly different world than what his illustration points to.
