What I understand from this is that it is a very good time to start writing on Hive. There is a content drought, so you are more likely to receive votes from people trying to find content to vote on.

I think speed shouldn't affect it that much, as long as you offer the ad/pay to skip at the same rate to the user. An ad usually takes around 30 seconds. You can artificially make payment confirmation
