I am feeling quite giddy.
As you know by my #NeedleworkMonday posts, I’m working on crocheted color pop baskets for my coworker who is retiring on 17 August (18 workdays from today). I asked for suggestions on how to present the basket, and received some great ideas.
One of those ideas was some homemade bath salts that I scent with some type of essential oil, like lavender or jasmine. I love bath salts and I will be searching for an online recipe that has actual dried herbs in it, too. I have some Epsom salts already, so it should not be too hard to scent what I already have.
And of COURSE, you cannot have a proper bath without a wonderful scented candle flickering in the bathroom.
In searching online, I found this Chocolate Brownie candle that is blowing my mind. I am planning to make two - one for her and one for me. This sounds perfect for her basket.
Handmade baskets, handmade bath salts, and a handmade candle. This gift is going to be DIY all the way - the best thing ever for a creative chick like me.
