As promised, this Steemfest I started a vlog to share with you this amazing experience and even though my team and I came for the business side of the conference, there was so much more to explore and we had a lot of fun chatting with everyone, dancing, flying drones and eating great food during the conference days.
Please feel free to check out the Steemfest Vlog Diary - Conference Day 2:
The second day of the Steemfest conference was held at a beautiful, more intimate location with a lovely garden, that we had to take advantage of. While there was AcroYoga being practiced in the back, we shot a few videos and took lots of pictures. What I generally love about Lisbon is the stunning nature in the mountains surrounding historical buildings, shaping the city.
Of course @timsaid was the first to fly his drone and capture such amazing group pictures!
(The Steemit logo.. really? Wondering if that was actually on purpose.. )
We were so busy capturing footage outside, that we almost missed important chats on stage like the interview with @ned .. but when we walked it had just started. The interview was mainly about SMT and and during an open questions round the community had the chance to ask questions and directly receive answers.
Finally the Hackathon projects were presented and the winners announced.
Dinner Time
Before it was time for dinner, we had a few drinks at the bar. Can you guess my favorite drink?
Gin Tonic! It doesn't just taste amazing, but is also a "healthy option" with benefits like fighting illness, improving digestion, increasing herbal intake etc. (of course only to an extent). Cheers!
The dinner was fabulous and the vegetarian option great.
Profession: CTO / DJ
After the conference there was an afterparty with a "surprise DJ" and I was actually very surprised when I saw that it was @sneak ! I mean who would have guessed that?..
In conclusion, it the conference days were just as successful as they were fun.
Question OTD: Where do you want Steemfest 3 to take place?
I hope you had a chance to connect with at least one of the APPICS team members. If you weren't there or didn't talk to us, you can always reach out to us: [email protected]
