That is their stated plan. Not too surprising. Many countries, including the U.S., also typically sell seized crypto and then use it to bolster future investigations.

There are legit reasons for some government visibility and oversight. However, what is key is to clearly understand and agree to what those are and limit the access to only support those functions.
