Opportunity is the availability of a space through which one can explore and yield a greater increase. In everyday life, there are opportunities that come in the form of a space or vacuum that needs to be filled, and these opportunities bypass us because:

These opportunities came in disguise, and so we don't actually know that they are opportunities that one can use and explore.

We weren't prepared to accept the opportunities, as we don't have the necessary attributes to fill in the gaps and explore them.

We don't have what it takes to keep and utilize those opportunities, as some opportunities don't seem like ones, and so the things that we need to go through, we leave to fate and faith.
The Unusual Nature of Opportunities
The more reason why many people miss opportunities is the bracket space of the disguise nature of most of the opportunities. And because of the fact that they came in an unusual and disguise way, we don't have the foresight to detect that what we just passed was just an opportunity and a low percentage are those that notwithstanding the fact that most of the opportunities comes in a disguise and unusual way, many sees it and makes good use of it.
The storm that one might be going through now might be an indication of an opportunity that one is probably missing, but because of the pain in this storm, the opportunity is going to be missed, maybe forever. Sometimes good things come in an odd way, and then the main intent of the good thing is missed.
Citing an example was what happened in the case of COVID 19. It was literally impossible for one to work and walk freely because movements and their means were restricted to a greater extent, and so it posed a very big issue, but that wasn't the end product of it. Clearly, it affected very many things and the economy at large, as people who based their lives on salary earning found it difficult to do anything or survive because work was shut down, and so the government had to come through by distributing palliative care. But there was another clause to this, as this was the time that someone saw the opportunity of the lockdown and movement restriction to make money by linking buyers to sellers. I know you understand where I am coming from.
It might not be easy to find opportunity in and during the storm, especially when the pain is directly towards you, but notwithstanding how disguised the opportunity was, it was actually there, and many used it to cash out.
Exploiting Opportunities For the Better
Exploiting opportunities is not the verbal chorusing of an opportunity; it is actually having what it takes to see an opportunity and explore it. Exploiting opportunities involves having the necessary add-ons to the opportunity to take up the challenges that might be associated with the said opportunity and the skill to transform the opportunity into money, not just for the moment but for the future and beyond.
It isn't out of the question that most opportunities actually need a skill to be pronounced. The acquisition of a skill might be all that is needed in a space, which is an opportunity to create a new life for not just the person who took up the opportunity but also the family of the opportunity taker.

To an extent, having a skill paves the way for one to see an opportunity and utilize it for the better. Many opportunities have been given to very many people because there was a skill attached. For example, one who has the skill of drawing develops and masters it to a professional level, but because of the locality of this skillful drawer, no work comes through, but irrespective of that, the drawer strives, holds still, and continues to draw. It could be shocking that the first professional contract that comes to the person might come based on referral purposes, as sometimes people see something and look away from it, not necessarily because they aren't wowed by what they see, but because there isn't any need for such a thing at the moment, and that doesn't mean they can't still refer one that might be in need of such a service, and from there, there might be an exploitation of this skill and the owner might be out of pocket.

Possession of Foresight
Having foresight can be likened to having the eyes of the spirit while still in the flesh. This has to do with having a mindset for the betterment of something that seems to bring pain. In having this, it isn't that the pain won't be felt, but then a different dimension of the pain is taken, which is probably thinking about where and when the pain comes from and dealing with it in a professional way, such that a good end product would be what is given at the tail end of the pain.
It was the foresight that most of the billionaires that we know had that made them what they are today, not that there is something that special about them.

This is yet another important part of exploiting an opportunity. It can't be taken for less because this point has a much more major role to play in one's having and utilizing an opportunity. Taking, for example, one who has a very good and important skill from which one can easily see an opportunity to make money, because of the odds heard about this talented and skilled person, irrespective of how good he/she is, the opportunity still eludes him or her. So it is necessary that one still polish his or her character by polishing the dress. There are many who, because of the kind of life they live, have a greater chance of having better opportunities that will increase the worth and value of their wallet, but it won't be given to them.

Many because they gave up too early, the opportunity that was made for them in the future eludes them. It is important to note that people who didn't give up so easily have undergone some difficulties worth giving up, but then they held through, and because they did, the breakthrough came.
