Our tomato beds have been going off in the late Summer. A few weeks ago we had a storm. It was quite wild and windy. The strings for trellis we set up early in the Summer snapped and everything came tumbling

From mid-December to late-January we had an abundance of what we believe to be Mirabelle plums from a small tree in our front garden. This was a lovely Summer bonus. Until the first fruit appeared around

It’s Summer here in central west NSW. It has been over a year since I posted any garden content. A big reason for that is that we actually moved house. This time last year we had some nice tomatoes growing

It’s the middle of Summer here in central NSW - a good time for a garden update. A few things first - we (mrshill, our cat Collie and myself) moved to Orange (large-ish regional town) two years ago for

Something I’ve been thinking about for a while is the strength of art as an investible asset class versus stocks and crypto in the ‘macro’ environment of 2023 (bear market, potential recession?, negative

Mythicats are a ‘collection’ of NFTs I’ve been interested in since September last year. To save me describing what ‘Mythereum’ is and what ‘Mythicats’ are, here is the blurb on the Opensea collection -

We harvested the last (fourth) pumpkin recently and finished with a second batch of pumpkin scones. The photos in this blog post were from the first batch. The scones were based on the CWA (Country Women’s

We harvested some huge pumpkins from the garden recently. The best part? We didn’t intentionally grow these! When we lived in Sydney we had pumpkin vines spring up randomly almost every summer but we never

I’ve always treated crypto as a risky investment and thus only put in what I ‘can afford to lose’. I’ve had some regrets about this - maybe if I’d gone in with more conviction, I’d be on my way to retirement?

Recently I competed in my third ever marathon (and my first since 2011). I ran in the Orange marathon on March 6th and finished in a time of 3:47:37, beating my old PB (3:58:30) by more than 10 minutes!

This weekend mrshill and I attended the Cabonne community glow in Canowindra, an event which included a spectacular ballooning event. It started at around 3pm - a few musical acts (mostly cover bands)

Last Saturday mrshill and I headed into the woods of Canobolas State forest in search of mushrooms. This was our second time foraging for mushrooms. Our first time foraging was in 2014 near Oberon. Armed

Stargaze, an IBC chain, airdropped a ton of tokens for ATOM stakers a couple of months ago - 20% allocation could be claimed initially, then 20% after initially staking STARS and the third portion of 20%

I recently had a thought with regards to crypto investment theses - there are a lot of gains to be had for being early and engaged in emerging ecosystems. Let’s go with this definition for ‘ecosytem’ -

For the first time last week I successfully made vegan yogurt. The process is simple - heat milk to about 85 degrees celsius. Allow milk to cool to about 45 degrees. Add yogurt as a starter. Stir in yogurt.

That’s the meme! Recently the SLP (token earned through Axie Infinity game play) price has come under a lot of pressure. This is not something new - basically it’s always been a point of contention but

I am a crypto tragic. The crypto space has managed to satisfy my intellectual curiosity every day since I first went down the rabbit hole in August 2017. It can get overwhelming and at these times I find

Last week I made tofu - just because. I’d always looked at tofu and thought it seems really processed. I didn’t think it was possible to make home made tofu. I saw a foodie TV show recently where the host

In this post I will review my experience using MAI finance (aka QiDAO) and explain how it meets my needs. MAI finance is a Polygon-native DeFi protocol. It has its own stablecoin (MAI), which is backed

In my last contribution to #axiebuzz I mentioned that my next post would be about SLP price, specifically the negative vibes some folks were spreading as a result of its declining price. A lot has happened
