There’s an article by Jonathan Sacredoti on Algemeiner that I’ve seen about emigration from the terror statelet of Gaza. According to Mr Sacredoti the European Union is making plans for allowing into Europe up to 40,000 Gazans. This is a policy that should be greeted with a resounding ‘no’ from the citizens of European nations.
Whilst I agree with Mr Sacrodoti that the Gazans should be able to leave in order to rebuild hopefully productive lives I also agree with him that the Gazans should go to places that are more culturally compatible for them. Maybe Egypt for example should open their border with Gaza to allow Gazans in so that they can become Egyptians? Or maybe they could go to any of the other Arab states whose people the Gazans have kinship with? The problem with this idea is that the Egyptians don’t want them for security reasons and those Arab countries that have taken in ‘Palestinians’ in the past have suffered from doing so. The ‘Palestinians’ nearly destroyed the Kingdom of Jordan, played a major part in the collapse of Lebanon and in Kuwait they sided with the Iraqi invaders of that country.
Yes the Arab nations have been very deeply bitten when they reached out the hand of assistance to he ‘Palestinians’ and are therefore very shy of getting bitten again and to be frank I can’t blame them. I don’t think this situation will change unless the attitudes of the ‘Palestinians’ change and they stop being a threat to the societies of the Middle East.
Mr Sacredoti pointed out that the attitudes and social customs of the Gazans make them a bleak prospect for Western nations. The Gazan culture is not one that is readily acceptable to those of us who live in and grew up in Western societies.
Mr Sacredoti, in the context of Britain needing to publish a guide for third world migrants telling them that they are not allowed to rape women, said:
The Palestinians entering the UK might well need to read the guide on how not to be sexually violent. They are, after all, coming from Gaza — the same territory from which, only a few years ago, thousands crossed into a neighboring society built on liberal norms of individual freedom, legal equality and civic life, and raped, kidnapped, and murdered civilians. Now we’re inviting them into Europe.
Even within Palestinian society itself, there are uncomfortable questions about the social norms people bring with them. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, 37.5 percent of women in Gaza who were married or had previously been married reported experiencing violence by their husband in the year preceding the 2019 survey. Earlier PCBS data found that 11.8 percent of married or previously married Palestinian women across the territories reported sexual violence by a husband, rising to 14.9 percent in Gaza in the 2011 survey.
The silence surrounding such abuse is striking: 61 percent of women who experienced domestic violence told nobody, while fewer than 1 percent sought help from formal institutions. These are not statistics from some hostile outside observer. They come from Palestinian institutions themselves. Any serious discussion of integration has to reckon with the social realities people arrive from.
Those women are victims. And while the figures cannot sensibly be converted into an accusation against every Palestinian man, they do describe a social environment in which attitudes toward marriage, women, sexuality, and authority differ significantly from contemporary Britain.
He’s correct. Gazan society is outrageously misogynistic to a degree that is not found in the cultures of Western nations. It is foolish to imagine that 40,000 Gazans would abandon their twisted culture because they’ve stepped foot on the ‘magic dirt’ of the West. Because of their cultural and religious affinity with the Arab world these Gazans should be distributed among the Arab nations and integrated into these nations as full citizens. It would be easier to rehabilitate the Gazans in Arab nations than it would be in the West because in Arab nations they would experience an environment which they have religious, linguistic and cultural similarities with. Bringing them to Europe would not just put the Gazans in environments they are unsuited for but because of the deficiencies in Gazan culutre they would pose a threat to the citizens of Western nations.
Gaza is a failed state. It’s a failed state despite the billions that have been poured into Gaza and because of the actions of many of the Gazans themselves. We should not allow the citizens of Western nations to pay the price of the Gazans often self inflicted failures.
I’m all in favour of allowing those Gazans who want to leave to get out and into neighbouring nations and I’m also in favour of significant efforts being made to integrate these Gazans into other Arab nations even if that integration plan costs money. However what should not be countenanced is bringing lots of Gazans to the West so that they can feed vulture-like off of collapsing welfare systems and bring similar horrors to our country as they have done to Israel.
