By the time Obini returned from his farmstead, his compound was already booming with activities. She searched everywhere but couldn't find Odum. As she returned home, she sighted Odum cdom a distance. Since she was far away, she ran, tracing his step. Odum kept walking fast towards the forest.
By the time Abueke could get to the path where Odum followed, all she saw was that the young handsome man was turning into a deer. She hid herself instantly as the deer walked into the wild.
Abueke was so shocked to speak or move. She must have stood there, thinking what danger she just escaped because she despised her mistress, yet again.
