I have always argued that not all successful men have the backing of a woman but my friends have turned my position on this matter down. They went ahead to prove me wrong by telling me a story that shocked me.
Some years ago, a very large family went out to have fun. It was a long day with a lot of activities for them. They have been to the park where the children enjoyed themselves with a lot of games.
Since the day is still very young, they decided to visit a farm where different species of fish and crocodiles are nurtured. The fish farm was quite beautiful and the people had enough time to see how the fish swam from one end of the show glass to the other.
Later, they went to the crocodile farm. The man who was showing them around on a special boat sailed it slowly as a group of crocodiles started to follow the boat. Though it was a scary sight at first but later, the crocodile smiled and swam underwater.
While the excursion was ongoing, the owner of the farm made a special announcement to all tourists.
Anyone who can swim from the middle of the lagoon to the shores will get a reward of two million dollars ($2,000,000).
Everyone's ears stop erect at the announcement. They contemplated the danger of having to swim in the lagoon filled with huge and dangerous crocodiles and the booty attached to the task. No one could dare it.
Suddenly, someone pushed Mr Brown in the lagoon. It was like a death warrant but he struggled and swam to the shores unhurt and got the reward.
Mr. Brown thanked his stars that he got the reward and that he was safe. Recounting his fear as he swam across the lagoon, he said he did not know who pushed him into the lagoon. As he narrated the fright that laid hold of his body, soul, and spirit. But his wife, Mrs. Brown, cut him short.
I pushed you into the lagoon. At least, they say, behind every successful man, there is a woman.
Everyone around them laughed loudly. Only Mr. Brown kept mute. He thought far about how he could have been devoured by the hungry-looking crocodiles.
For me, the push was dangerous but it led to a positive end. Mr.Brown wouldn't have been two million dollars richer if he was not pushed by his wife.
On the other hand, what if Mr Brown had been attacked by the Crocs? Perhaps he even got killed by the dangerous Crocs, what do you think would have happened to Mrs. Brown? She would have lived with the guilt that she killed her husband for the sake of getting rich.
