As a Bangladeshi it is difficult to explain my country in one line. There is pride as well as disappointment, there are good sides as well as some complicated ones. Bangladesh is my country. I was born in this land, grew up in this language and found my identity among these people. The biggest strength of our country is that the people here can smile even in the midst of hardships and fight even in the face of problems. From village people to city youth, everyone wants to move forward from their place.
In the last few years many developments have been seen like new bridges, roads, electricity system is better than before and the use of technology has increased. Many services are now available online. These are positive actions of the government. We see that development does not happen overnight but gradually.
But it cannot be said that everything is not right. There is still corruption in many places and many common people find it difficult to get proper services. Many people have the experience of getting into trouble when they go to the government office. Again, it is often said that identity is more important than qualifications in the field of employment. Another thing is that as there are good works of the government, there are also questions of the common people about some decisions. Not all decisions are clear to everyone. Sometimes it seems that the opinion of ordinary people should be given more weight.
I think the government is not only for leaders and ministers but also for us. Because the government is our representative, we should praise if we do something good and question it if we do something wrong. Question does not mean opposition, question means awareness. Bangladesh is not completely bad and not completely perfect. There is development, there are problems, there are opportunities, there are challenges. I love my country blindly not consciously because love means not only seeing the good side but also accepting the bad side.
All in all, my country is complicated but full of hope. And I believe if we all are honest from our place, take responsibility, then the country will be better.
