Hi, I'm Mark. I live in California west of Sacramento about an hour's drive in Fairfield (live there to be close to work) This is me when I was living in Virginia:
I used to go backpacking a lot in Virginia, but I haven't been as much here, since I don't know the trails as well, and the mountains are higher (7-10,000 ft), so more difficult with the altitude change, since I live closer to sea level. I work as a GIS Specialist for the county I live in, which means I make maps on and offline. I enjoy playing guitar, video games, hiking, and camping. Since I've moved here, I've joined up with a couple of communities that happened to involve also a lot of partying, so I'm moderating on that a bit. I've been attending events with "Burners", which are people involved with the Burning Man community. A lot of art, music, and cool parties and camp outs. I went to Burning Man my first time in 2015, but I haven't been back yet. I was originally planning to go this year, but probably not, maybe next year!
I also got involved with the Hash House Harriers, which is about drinking beer and running around on trails on a quest for more beer, and generally being silly. Here's a photo of me after a hash:
I recently took more interest in investing in cryptocurrencies, having looked at Bitcoin back in 2011 when it was around $5! I probably would have lost it on MtGox or lost my wallet though, hahah. Excited to see Steemit develop!
