Oh, people change. We are always changing to become truer versions of ourselves. Had a similiar experience. First time swimming my birth father took me to the public pool and didn't really how deep the water would get. I walked out a bit and had to be saved by lifeguards. I guess making the topic darker, what do we fear more? What we are becoming, or death? Is what we are becoming so horrible it is worth ending that future. Maybe I'm making this too dark but that's what I got out of this.
