Hello everybody,
This week I dived into characheters creation and starting with the idea of a town and it's connections. Too bad these days I have more time to think then actually making so the ideas goes off to tangent and drive me off a focused design idea.
I'm always fighting beetwen making a simple basic arcade game with 2/3 ideas well crafted but then I tend to expand into more full fledged worlds.
Here's some of the characters I came up this week.
The Traveling Merchant
A seller and a buyer of many things a walking general store that don't speak very often of himself. The people of the town refer to him as the Merchant nobady knows his true name, only a little girl call him Cody but that's probably children fantasy at play. He come and goes from the town towards Baradaan the big city to the East and many other town. You can expect to see him at least once a week.
The Half Moon Prince
Tak is a little boy that has been found under the star signs of an old profecy, since then it has been the young ruler of the town. The magic that sourround him inspire the people in beliving that there's a way of overcoming the impending doom over the town and the region. Tak is just a kid and would prefer to play with his paper constructions, planes, boats, towns and all the creature he come up but his magical gift put him in the spotlight and every time he find a little moment for himself some villager come with a request or a problem to solve.
The Ex Mayor
Deonne is the Ex mayor of the town, the last one before the half moon prophecy was revealed in front of the town inhabitants eyes. She was struck in awe too by the revelation and offer herself to serve and help the young kid. She is a very experienced old woman and always trying things workout for the best. Brings always with her the old clock that was given by her older brother who has been gone from the town years ago in search for a new life.
And then
I loaded up the physics engine made a wheel and made no more progress to the town ahah. I don't know I really love physics based gameplay and I'm start to think I should somehow merge this two very different worlds. Oh well let's keep going!
