Started a tutorial series about Godot Engine and looking around the features I'd say it's very impressive and easy to use. The thing I'm missing from Game Maker Studio 2 is the built in pixel editor wich Godot dosn't have.
Not a bad thing so I can get finally around to understand how Gimp/Illustrator works and for now I can say that this has been the hard part of it all. I fumble and stumble while using Gimp I accidentaly changed something in color picking and now I can't revert back. More stuff to learn.

IMPRESSED
I have been impressed by Godot, it already features working kinematic object that have physic intaraction with no coding required and they are tweakable too. This excite me very much.
I started the tutorial series by BornCG on Youtube and this first steps have been really easy to grasp with prior knowledge of another gamemaking engine. It came with this cute sprite assesets
But I want to craft my own, so staying close to the original I worked a similar idle animation for Cardboardbot.
Then I proceded to swap the old sprite model with the new one.
Overall was a very easy operation even if I find GMS 2 really easy to use for this kind of things but maybe is just that I'm so used to it's methods
My first impression is really positive and I look foward to learn more. Usually I like to build big open worlds and I don't know how the Scene framework of Godot will allow me to do. But the promise is there!
Have a goodday devvers!
