Last Saturday I received some bad news, Amigo, the dog I told you about in a previous post, in an oversight of the caretakers left the shelter where I had left him while I was preparing a place in my house to take him there.
The vet and dog psychologist explained to me that dogs that are raised from a very young age on the street do not adapt to being in a confined environment, as for them roaming the streets is their way of life.
My connection with the animal for a long time was very strong and it certainly saddened me not to be able to see him at the weekend, maybe one day he will come back to my house to get the food I always gave him or maybe he will feel betrayed because I took him to the shelter.
However, something of his will remain with me as a bitch has just given birth to 8 beautiful puppies who are Amigo's children and I will adopt one of them and give him the place I had reserved for him.
Life is like that, we lose, we gain, there is a constant compensation between what comes and goes, a balance that keeps us going.
