Heylo, kotzebue ak is located 30 miles above the Arctic Circle. Kotz is an island during the summer and fall months, yet is connected to mainland during the spring and winter months. The only way to kotzebue is via air craft or ship to shore. President Obama made a historical visit to kotzebue in 2015/2016 I forget, lol yet it was awesome, before he got here they, secret service came and cleaned up kotzebue of all old buildings and trash, I was wow! It takes a President to clean up a village. It was awesome when he came to visit. At that time I was in communications and we our store GCI was his communication hub and provided fast internet and cellular for his entourage, nicest people you ever did meet, some genuine and others by the book flat and cold demeanor.
