I cooked this up today, it was beef mince meat and one of the workers on that shift popped a hole in it (they do this in summertime to stop the heat exploding packets) and so it sat in the fridge for a few days which was still in date, and had just a dried hard piece which i took off.. Its always also forgotton that air dried meats are actually expensive to buy such as jamon ect🤣
