The law can be so abusive at times. Today, 18/06/2017, was handing of power from the outgoing prime minister Dr. Pakalitha Mosisili to Motsoahae Thomas Thabane. It was a sad happy moment, to the one leaving and to the latter.

However, the old man, the former (71) swallowed his pride and handed the Barton to the latter (81). He handed it over in red heart, but did it peacefully because the general elections, the power of democracy urged him.

The king, His Majesty King Letsie III had to give his blessings to the newly crowned Prime minister even though he stated clearly during his election campaign that the king is no where in his good books. He asked the king whether he wants an egg out of him. The law urged the king to do as he did.

The army commander, Lieutenant General Khoantle Mots'omots'o also had to salute the prime minister and command the parade for him. The premier has many times stated his lack of favour in the commander. He said and maintained that he holds a strong grudge in the whole army (Lesotho Defence Force). He even rejected the parade vehicle and opted to walk around the stadium to greet his followers. The commander did as the law states.

Lastly the army had to parade and salute the person that despises them. That is the oppression by the law.

We  hoping however, for the peaceful country, Lesotho.

As our motto says: Peace Rain and Prosperity.
