It is not the responsibility of the government to create jobs for everyone but rather to make the system friendly to enable investors and entrepreneurs create jobs. We are where we are today because students look at examinations as just “right passage” for beginning their careers.
This is wrong, graduates should learn to implement the lessons learnt in classrooms in the outside world . Only then, you will be able to make a career out of it and indulge in activities that birth innovations. The value system needs to be strengthened by our parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and society at large on skills not on certificates. The reality of today is that your skills can feed you while others wroth with their academic degrees in penury. Instead of complaining about unemployment, be creative and build a formidable team to solve a particular problem. Hire people way smarter than you. If you hire somebody who is less intelligent or smart, then he or she will follow the same rule when hiring others and ultimately you will end up having a bunch of idiots, but if on the contrary you look out for great minds, you will come up with witty inventions.
Stop waiting and wishing for the system to feed you, create something of value and put others on payroll, remember nothing works except someone works it; a great man said anywhere you see something is working then someone is working. There are so many businesses that won't cost you a fortune to set up. I feel sad each time I walk into a church and prayer points are raised for miracle jobs, no one is talking about miracle ideas to start a business empire. Even as the challenges of unemployment, hunger and scarcity become clearer in these trying times, think outside the box and create a living for all around you. Stop blaming the government, blame yourself for seeing things the way you saw them 4 years ago.
