LA TORTUGA ISLAND, PARADISE BEACH
Hello everyone, I want to tell you about one of my travel experiences inside Venezuela my home country.
Venezuela is located in the north of South America. It is bordered to the north by the Caribbean Sea, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and Guyana, to the south by Brazil and to the southwest and west by Colombia.
Venezuela has jungles, forests, mountains, beaches, plains, paramos, deserts and has approximately 315 islands between keys and islets of which today I want to share my experience in Isla La Tortuga.
La Tortuga is a beautiful island in the Venezuelan Caribbean Sea. With an area of approximately 156.6 km², it is one of the most beautiful natural destinations we have in our Caribbean Sea off the central-eastern coast of Venezuela, about 72 kilometers northeast of Cape Codera and 120 kilometers west of the Pearl of the Caribbean, Margarita Island.
The island is notoriously flat, reaching an altitude of 40 meters. From the east end to the west there are approximately 13.5 nautical miles, which is equivalent to 25 kilometers; and from the north to south ends, its most extensive zone is 6 nautical miles, equivalent to 11 kilometers.
After Margarita Island, it is the second largest island in Venezuelan territory.

Venezuela está situado a l norte de América del Sur. Limita al norte con el mar Caribe, al este con el océano Atlántico y Guyana, al sur con Brasil y al suroeste y oeste con Colombia.3Venezuela posee selvas, bosques, montañas, playas, llanos, paramos, desiertos y posee aproximadamente 315 islas entre cayos e islotes de las cuales hoy les quiero compartir mi experiencia en Isla La Tortuga.
La Tortuga es una hermosísima isla en el Mar Caribe venezolano,. Con una Superficie de aproximadamente: 156,6 km², es uno de los destino naturales más hermosos y que tenemos en nuestro Mar Caribe frente a las costas centro orientales de Venezuela, a unos 72 kilómetros al noreste de Cabo Codera y a 120 kilómetros al oeste de la Perla del Caribe, la Isla de Margarita.
La isla es notoriamente plana, llega a una altitud de 40 metros. Del extremo este al oeste hay aproximadamente unas 13,5 millas náuticas, las cuales equivalen a 25 kilómetros; y de los extremos de norte a sur, su zona más extensa es de 6 millas náuticas, equivalentes a 11 kilómetros
Después de la isla de Margarita, es la segunda isla más grande del territorio Venezolano.
La Tortuga Island is made up of a larger island and several smaller islets and keys. Isla La Tortuga está conformada por una isla mayor y varios islotes y cayos más pequeños. Tiene hermosas playas de aguas cristalinas, arena muy blanca, a diferencia de Isla Margarita allá no hay aeropuertos comerciales, ni puertos, carreteras, hoteles, los paquetes que ofrecen las empresas turísticas son tipo camping con todo incluido. We embarked from a marina located in Higuerote, Miranda State at 11:00 am, it is the busiest and most used route to reach the island, there are 2 other accesses, from the city of Puerto La Cruz located in the state of Anzoátegui and from the state of Nueva Esparta (Margarita Island).
The service included maritime transfer, all meals and beverages, overnight stay in a tent, hydration, awning and chairs, portable toilet, quick shower, daily cava with ice, and drinking water for consumption.

The meals were made of delicious fish and seafood.
Embarcamos desde una marina ubicada en Higuerote Estado Miranda a las 11:00 am, es la ruta más transitada y utilizada para llegar a la isla, existen otro 2 accesos, desde la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz ubicada en el estado Anzoátegui y desde el estado Nueva Esparta ( isla de Margarita)
El servicio incluyó traslado marítimo, todas las comidas y bebidas, pernocta en carpa, hidratación, toldo y sillas, baño portátil, ducha rápida, cava diaria con hielo, y agua potable para consumir.
En estos momentos el precio por persona está aproximadamente en 270$ por persona.
Las comidas estuvieron hechas de riquísimos pescados y frutos marinos

Nunca imaginé olas tan grandes y agitadas tan cerquitas de mí, les confieso que estaba asustadísima y que quizás no llegaríamos al destino, mentalmente comencé a despedirme del mundo entero, me sentía tan vulnerable en esa lancha que nos zarandeaba, volaban los bolsos, paños, cholas, mucho tiempo después me entere que en los meses desde septiembre hasta enero la navegación se hace difícil, así que los meses que recomiendan ir es a partir de febrero hasta agosto.
Imagine that this trip is estimated to take 2 hours and 30 minutes, however due to the weather conditions this time the boat trip lasted 6 hours, I was afraid that the boat would not be able to overcome the big waves.

The funny thing is that it did not even rain on the island, and we continued to enjoy the unexpected gift that surprised us all.

Lo curioso es que en la isla ni siquiera llovió, y seguimos disfrutando del regalo inesperado que a todos nos sorprendió.
