The feeling of walking through the cities of Serbia is simply amazing and it makes you think about a lot of history, and just looking at the shape of the building or a window in the city of Novi Sad will immediately make you understand the cultural significance and uniqueness of this place.
Speaking about the legacy of Serbia, you cannot fail to examine the country’s architectural style. The culture and architectural style of Serbia are unique in that it combines native Slavic and Balkan origins with significant Indian influences that have affected the Serbian lifestyle and cultural consciousness.
At the same time, given the historical location of Serbia as a crossroads between different cultures, in the architecture of this country, one can notice influences from many styles. For example, in the South of the country and the older part of the city, you can see Byzantine domes and religious icons popular in medieval times.
Tracing the line of the historical architecture of Serbia from South to North, one can see how the style changes and elements of Central European architecture such as Baroque, Renaissance or Neo-classicism appear.
