While many tourists are likely to focus their attention on Istanbul, Turkey offers plenty of destinations beyond the istanbul city. One such place is Antalya – a famous resort and an important city for Turkish people. This is the place where local population sends their children on holidays as well as international visitors arriving at the airport in order to spend their time in Antalya. The city has a unique history and has been part of different cultures throughout its long life. The place has been settled since the 2 nd century BC and now remains one of the largest and most developed cities in the country. When walking around the Old City, I could feel the magic of history and enjoy the atmosphere of this ancient settlement with its vibrant nightlife and friendly population.
The Old Port which you can see on the photo is the most important part of the city as the center of its ancient culture. You can clearly see traditional boats moving on the water and reflecting in it the beauty of the city with its high plateaus. I took this photo since I wanted to capture the essence of Old Port with its outstanding beauty and centuries-old history. I used the black and white filter to enhance the contrast between the cliffs, water, and boats and highlight the beauty of the structure of the city.
