While on a job at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark i had some time to explore the buildings of this exhibition site. The one at the main entrance with it's metal facade and billions of little holes in it looked just perfect to me at first sight for a #monomad black and white photo series. The photos were taken on different days and different times of day and i like to present this building to you here starting with very abstract closeups of the facade, revealing it shot by shot with a little surprise at the end ... Enjoy!
Looking upwards at one of the panels of the facade
One of the perforation patterns up close
Looking upwards again with a different sky and different reflections
Yes, they have different perforation patterns that result in different transparencies of the panels throughout the facade
Upwards again with a slightly different angle at another time of day
Changing the angle to reveal a bit more of the perforated panels
Looking very close once more. This time at the space between two of the panels with different perforation patterns
Changing the angle horizontally this time to reveal a bit more of the overall look of the facade with the effect of having many reflections of the same tree standing close by
Revealing the lower end of the panels now through a window from the inside of the neighboring building
Here we see the connection to the neighboring building with a nice reflection of the panel facade
Now let's move away a bit further to reveal more of the facade with it's different perforation patterns looking towards one of the corners of the building
Here we're looking up on one of the corners of the building where you can see the transparency of the perforate panels at the top edge
I couldn't decide which one looked better so here's the vertical shot of the corner for you the decide
Finally we're taking a big step backwards from that corner and reveal the building with a wide angle shot
For everyone who's still with me in this little architectural excursion here's what that building's corner looks like at sunset
