Welcome dear Reader and Feather Lover,
my entry for this round of the Feathered Friends Photo Contest is a Heron (Ardea Cinerea) on the lookout for some fish for breakfast in the morning. In this photo series i wanted to get him more closeup in portrait style so what you don't see is that he's walking around at the shoreline of a little lake indeed looking for prey. When he sees one he snatches it pretty fast and swallows it immediately in whole.
... deeply absorbed in his breakfast meditation.
Tell me next time when you shoot closeups then i can clean my beak first!
Gotta look the other way, that damn paparazzi distracts my focus.
