1 THESSALONIANS 5:11
THEREFORE, ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER AND BUILD EACH OTHER UP, JUST AS IN FACT YOU ARE DOING.
Lets see why the " therefore". v9 says For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
v10 He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.
As christians we are encourage knowing that we have confidence in a total salvation. Our soul and spirit go on to be with God. No matter what happens we live forever with God and believers in Heaven. It is sealed! Our best is yet to come! We know what happens in the end.
ENCOURAGEMENT was our topic last Friday at the meeting with friends and family of drug , alcohol and other life dominating sins.
Such a perfect lesson for me as a Christ follower being away from home, different culture and dialect was a bit hard to communicate to people not just to my sister and brothers in Christ but also to the world. Thinking at this moment how to start to be an encourager. My mind always go back to the past, back 2014 I got here in California . I have no family but got only one friend I know from work. To make the story short I met people who encourage me all the way until the end. People who gave me shelter, caring, thoughtful, things for survival. They encourage me to finish and pass my GED class and pass my examination here in California. It feels so good to have those people in my life.
I believe that in every situation we have; God gives us someone who will be there for us, to care and love most of all to encourage us in tough times. God never leave me because He knows I wont make it without Him by my side.
Encouragement starts in our home, family people around us. Today I pray to God that He will give me strength to start encouragement starting in our home specially to my husband.
