Tales from the gilded pig.
Ep. 2:
The beast with two back packs.
On a sunny spring morning in early April. The woods just outside of the sleepy little town of Elkhorn, Wisconsin were bustling with life. The picturesque views offered by the old growth Forests, with its towering pine trees, bountiful wild life, and scenic cliff sides over looking valleys of lakes, streams and wildflowers of all kinds, it was no wonder folks from near and far came to witness it. But just as any untamed place, people have a habit of conflating beauty with safety, and so we find ourselves off the beaten path as the newly minted MacNelly couple have found them selfs a perfect place to set up camp. The clearing over looked a breathtaking scene of the valley below and the newlyweds sat enjoying the view as the sunset blazed through the evening sky. Lost in the serenity of the moment, they failed to notice the wandering troupe of hobgoblins making off with their supplies or the beast with their two backpacks slung over its hunched shoulders creeping up behind them. Three days later the search party found them huddled together in the clearing, alive, but badly dehydrated. It was only by chance that a local deputy happened across the sign, knocked over and half covered by a pile of pine needles, warning potential campers of the creatures that stocked the woods.
"Goblin territory, no trespassing."
