Back to Hive: From Rural Yemen to Web3 — A Doctor’s Journey with Zofia Coin 🩺💻
Hello Hive and Ecency community,
It’s been a while since my last post here. Honestly, life in the field and the daily challenges of rural medicine have kept me extremely busy. But the passion for writing and sharing my journey has never faded. Today, I’m back to share a new and exciting chapter of my life with you all.
For those who don’t know me yet, I am Dr. Moqit Alghozi. I am a Yemeni doctor working in remote rural areas. My days are spent traveling between distant villages, trying to ease the suffering of children and patients under incredibly tough conditions. It’s exhausting, but it is my mission.
However, working on the ground made me realize a hard truth: medicine alone isn't enough if we don't have transparent systems to support the flow of aid. That realization pushed me into a completely different world—Web3 and blockchain development.
Over the past months, I have been working on building Zofia Coin (ZOFIA), a decentralized DeFi token. But here is the crazy part: I built the entire smart contract and the project using just my Android phone, right from Yemen, facing all the infrastructure and internet challenges you can imagine.
But Zofia is not just another cryptocurrency. It has a clear humanitarian vision. My ultimate goal is to build a digital, transparent bridge between donors and patients in Yemen. I want to use blockchain to ensure that medical supplies and aid reach the people who truly need them, with 100% transparency. I call it "DeFi for Good."
So, why am I back on Ecency today?
Because I truly believe in the power of this community. I want to document the growth of Zofia step-by-step with you. I want to share the technical challenges, the real-life stories from my medical work, and explore how we can integrate Zofia with the Hive ecosystem (like Hive Engine) to distribute the token fairly and efficiently.
I would love for you to be part of this journey. Let’s build something that doesn't just chase profits, but actually saves lives.
I’m glad to be back, and I look forward to your thoughts and questions.
Warm regards,
Dr. Moqit Alghozi
Founder of Zofia Coin
