Hi everyone! This article will talk about an upcoming feature to the MinnowBooster bot: automatic comment promotion! This feature is already in a public beta stage right now, and it allows you to use your MinnowBooster balance to automatically order upvotes for each of your comments.
In this article, we'll first cover the feature itself and what it will do. Then, we'll show you step-by-step how to enable the feature on your account. Let's get started!
Over two weeks ago, the 
At any time, you could deposit SBDs into your balance, and withdraw SBDs from your balance. Whenever MinnowBooster used your vote as part of the Sell-Your-Vote program, it would show up as a "credit" action.
However, why didn't MinnowBooster just send you the SBD directly rather than placing it in a balance, and what was the balance for? This new feature allows you to utilize your balance in a clever way: whenever you post on a comment on STEEM and you have at least 0.01 SBD in your balance, if the feature was enabled,
This would automatically boost your comment without any action from you, and would also automatically use the funds in your balance as "debit" actions:
Now that we know the purpose of this feature, let's get it set up for your account!
In this step-by-step tutorial, we'll show you how to enable Automatic Comment Promotion for your STEEM account.
Navigate to https://minnowbooster.com in your web browser. Click on the "My Account" tab at the top, and if you're not already logged in, click on "Log In."
You'll be directed to a SteemConnect login page where you can sign into your account.
At this point, go back to the https://minnowbooster.com website, if you aren't there already.
Click on "My Account" on the website again. Then, click "Edit Info."
You should be redirected to a page allowing you to edit various MinnowBooster settings.
Now, see if the two checkboxes nearest to the bottom (both regarding "Sell Your Vote") are both green/checked:
Those checkboxes allow you to enable the sell-your-vote feature (directions here), and though you can enable Automatic Comment Promotion without selling your vote, it's more useful if you use the both in tandem.
Finally, enable Automatic Comment Promotion!
Find the third checkbox on the right-hand side of the page, labeled "Enable automatic promotion of your comments," and check it!
If you want, you can check your balance by going to the My Account link at the top, and clicking "Balance." You can deposit some funds if you want to do so as well.
Currently, MinnowBooster will drain your balance by 0.01 SBD per automatic comment upvote.
It should be noted that you will need a minimum amount of SBD in your balance for the feature to activate. For example, if I publish a comment on a post, yet I only have 0.001 SBD in my MinnowBooster balance, I won't get automatic promotion because 0.01 SBD is required.
However, if I publish 3 comments and I have 0.025 SBD in my balance, the first two will get promotion. The third one will not, because I wouldn't have enough money in my balance, and at the end I would have 0.005 SBD left in my balance.
Lastly, remember that this feature is very much still in beta! Check with
