Great pictures! I love seeing insects and other wonders of nature up close. In principle both butterflies and moths (moths) lay eggs, from which a caterpillar will hatch independently, without the parents having to take care of any care except for placing the clutch somewhere inconspicuous to avoid predators and nearby or, on the same nutrient plant (from which the caterpillar will feed until it metamorphoses). I love that we learn together!
