I've done an experiment ... i used 6 leveled cards and it got me to Champions league and the 20 pack reward.
Does that mean it's too easy and they're giving away too many rewards... maybe... but it's also early in the game so I think it's good to maybe overly reward the people playing now. But i do think this season is likely an anomaly and I don't see this continuing.
They are changing things up at the end of the season which as we see is just a couple days away
The point is to those who think it's hard to level up I invite you to just think about things a little differently and you can easily be a success.
But until then you can still take advantage of the way things presently are... and you can get your friends to join in.
You still have about 10hrs to perhaps even use this exact same team to get you to Champion League and beyond.

It would probably be double the cost to go full max on these cards and make the rise to champion even faster.
Then you can take those cards and likely just sell them afterwards if you want. And maybe even sell the 20 packs you get.

So yes it's a great investment.
Spend 80 steem play a game and get 50 steem in packs as a reward and still own 80 steem worth of cards.
Not a bad sell to tell your friends, create a little card sharing guild with your friends at home that you trust to give access to your cards.
And i submit you could raise through the ranks in the 11 hours we have left in this game if you were consistent.
But if not i'm sure there will be a unique angle in the next conflict
