So when did SSG stop becoming a community and just become another voting bot, yes we use the tag to post about precious metals but just how many people who use precious actually write about precious metals?
As most of you know I am a coin dealer, stacker and amateur silver Smith but I lost my passion for posting on here when I have seen so many times "I'm a stacker and I want to join precious" and you see 2 stroke 3 posts and then never again and they just get a chunky upvote.
This is not the main reason why I lost interest but the main reason is that everything was auto voted by the community bot and this seemed to facilitate the automaisation of voting without reading, so why bother writing something amazing if no one is going to read it but to be fair there are a few members who still write amazing pieces about silver.
The core of the group still chats on discord but there are many members who have no more interest in this group than a dog has about rocket science, I feel the group needs a major shakeup and maybe have the bot not for a metal stackers group but a seperate entity and let's get back to a point where we share ideas and not just get "I upvoted you automatically".
Yes I am guilty of auto voting but I do go back and read the posts that I have auto voted on and to be honest sometimes I am unsure what to reply so I don't but I do appreciate the effort that goes into these posts.
I am currently writing this sat at my work bench pondering ideas for the winners medal for the NFL SWEEPSTAKES for this year, I have hosted this a few times and this time I decided to add a silver medal for the winner but it is hard to think when it seems I have to beg the community to enter something that I have hosted for a few years.
I don't mean to sound bitter as I love this community but it seems to have shrunken to a core family with a ever growing size of sponging cousins. If anyone has any ideas to improve the group as I feel it is just becoming a voting bot with a hash tag
