The truth is that for those who take one or two pictures, having a well organized file should not be a problem, you could organize it by daily date, even by weeks or months, but when you are a little more into photography, the amount of images exceeds the imagination.
In my case I have tried everything, making catalogs of each time I go out, and it is not that I take too many photos in each one of them, most times I do not exceed 30 photographs, I have tried to make catalogs per month and also a general one in which I put other types of photographs, the truth is that with over time, I have left some photographs in oblivion, and it is not that they are bad, just sometimes they don't go with the theme of the post and I leave them for later.
So this post contains different images, some of the park, others of the street, one a little more abstract, or at least that's what I think, but anyway, each of these pictures capture a moment that I wanted to remember, not that I go through life taking pictures of everything that moves, but when I took these pictures of course they were to make a post.
For some strange reason, I always leave one or two pictures out for different reasons, sometimes I think they were not good enough to be included in the post, sometimes I think they are too good and I could use them for something else, but as time goes by and I see them there gathering dust in the computer, I decide to do the post and get rid of that worry.
By the way this image above I really liked it, from that day I think I made about 3 posts because there were quite a few photos of different things, and although I could take the photos straight from the camera and make a post, I feel the need to add a little more creativity with editing, adding or removing a color to give more presence to the image.
Of course I don't always go out at the same time, sometimes I go out early in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening, I have yet to go out in the late at night to do astro photography, but I'm already making a plan with some friends.
I also try to make use of all the lenses I have, there are not many but I don't want them to be forgotten in the suitcase, so sometimes the 24mm is the best, or the 50mm or the 55-250mm, it all depends on the situation and what I'm looking for, I know I still have a lot of gear missing, The one that has me thinking is the Sigma 150-600mm, but it has a price of almost 1200 dollars, something that I am not really willing to pay for the moment unless I see better results in terms of investment.
At the end of the day I know very well that a good gear, expensive and new, would make me look better, and probably take a good picture from time to time, so I keep using what I have, and if I have a good result with it, when I have better gear the result should be much better.
